The BEST Curly Styles and Inspiration Boards to Follow on Pinterest

Hey lovelies!

Who loves to day dream about having perfect, amazing, hair days everyday?! Who scrolls through Pinterest looking for the top styles and trendy new cuts?

Pinterest is known as THE visual search engine, which makes it an incredible tool to use when looking for guides and hair styles. The way that Pinterest has profiles and boards displayed, you can easily see how many pins are on a board and a few teaser pins to see what's it about.

Checking to see how many viewers and featured pins (or boards) is a great way to see the credibility of the profile. Bios are also a good place to see if the board is going to be what you are looking for.

I am on Pinterest all the time. I just can't stop looking through photo after photo of perfectly styled hair. Blonde, Brunette, Red, Natural... sometimes I can't help but pin curls that are artificial because they just look so good. I know heat is bad for your hair, but the curls are just so perfect!

My criteria for best boards means that they have really specific guides and/or styles that can actually be recreated by the everyday curly girl - not just a stylist. The boards must have:

• specific curl types (including natural and African American textures)

• diverse hair colors & lengths

• products

• styling guides

• inspiring cuts and styles

I have noticed that there are quite a few boards out there for black & natural hair types (I'll list my favorites below). My goal is point out a few boards that cover multiple curl types for ALL kinds of curly hair, because honestly - we are few and far between and when we find something that works - we have to help each other out!

So there you have it! The best curly hair boards to follow for inspiration and guides. Plus, I found each of these users to have great boards outside of curly hair - like recipe books, dream destinations, look books, and fashion boards.

One thing I felt was missing was curly guy styles and hair cuts. I can confirm this is an issue because my boyfriend has curly/frizzy hair and he says he hasn't seen many men with curly hair like his, or at least they don't show it.

Unfortunately he likes to beat his hair into submission with gel to make it look straight - but I guess that is the perk of having super short hair. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
